Detailed data
ABB IMDSO04 Digital Output Slave Module
The Digital Slave Output Module (IMDSO04) outputs 16 digital signals from the Infi 90 system to control the process. It is the interface between the process and the Infi 90 process management system. The signals provide a digital switch (on or off) to the field device. The master module performs the control function; the slave modules provide the I/O.
The DSO consists of a printed circuit board (PCB) that occupies a slot in a module mounting unit (MMU). It outputs 16 independent digital signals via solid-state circuitry on the PCB. Twelve of the outputs are isolated from each other; the remaining two pairs share the positive output line.
Like all Infi 90 modules, the DSO is modular in design for flexibility. It outputs 16 independent digital signals to the process. Open collector transistors in the output circuits can sink up to 250 mA into a 24 VDC load.
The ABB IMDSO04 digital output slave module is a versatile and reliable component used in industrial automation systems to control devices such as relays, solenoids and actuators. With its 4 output channels, 24V DC operation and support for communication protocols such as Modbus RTU or Profibus DP, it provides an efficient way to integrate digital output control into larger control systems.
Frequently asked questions about the product are as follows:
-What is the purpose of the ABB IMDSO04?
The IMDSO04 is a digital output slave module that receives commands from a master controller and then provides discrete on/off control signals to external devices.
-How many output channels does the IMDSO04 have?
The IMDSO04 typically provides 4 output channels, allowing control of up to 4 discrete devices.
-Can the IMDSO04 be used with different controllers?
The IMDSO04 can be used with any master controller that supports communication protocols such as Modbus RTU or Profibus DP, making it compatible with a wide range of PLC and DCS systems.
