Detailed data
ABB CRBX01 HRBX01K02 2VAA009321R1 Compact Remote Bus eXtender
The CRBX01 Compact Remote Bus eXtender is the fiber optic repeater module for the redundant HN800 IO bus of Symphony Plus.CRBX01 fiber optic repeaters transparently extend the HN800 IO bus of SPCxxx controllers. CRBX01 repeaters need no configuration and remote IO or communication module have the same function, performance and capacity as local modules.
The CRBX01 fiber optic repeater module supports up to 60 HN800 devices per remote link. The fiber optic HN800 bus is a star topology (point-to-point) with up to 8 remote links per controller.
Each remote link supports up to 60 HN800 devices (SD Series IO or communication modules). Each link can be up to 3.0 km long using 62.5/125 µm multimode fiber optic cable with the CRBX01.
Module Power Requirements 90 mA (typical) 100 mA (max) 24 VDC (+16%/-10%) per module
Module Power Connection POWER TB on cHBX01L
Power Supply Overvoltage Category Category 1. Tested to IEC/EN 61010-1
Mounting Details RMU610 Mounting Base for 2 cRBX01 Modules
Frequently asked questions about the product are as follows:
-What is the purpose of the ABB CRBX01 bus extender?
The CRBX01 can extend communications between devices that are far apart or in different physical locations, ensuring they can remain connected in an industrial network.
-How do I install a CRBX01 module?
The CRBX01 is typically mounted on a DIN rail, which is standard for industrial installations. Supply 24V DC power to the module using the appropriate power connections. Connect the module to the network or bus system. This may involve connecting to a fieldbus such as Modbus or PROFINET. Verify operating status via the LED indicators to ensure the module is powered correctly and the network is functioning properly.
-How do I know if the CRBX01 is functioning properly?
A green LED indicates normal module operation. A red LED indicates a fault or error, such as a communication failure or power supply problem. If the communication bus is not functioning properly, check the wiring, connections, and ensure there is no electrical interference affecting the signal.
